Went on a nice hike with my kids today, and they requested waffles for dinner. I tried to bribe them with In-and-Out as I didn’t want to cook, but they insisted. Here’s a pic of some hieroglyphics from our hike:

I had Crispy Duck Confit. King Cole duck leg, braised red cabbage, honey roasted heirloom carrots, & charred apple gastriqe. It cost way to much, but was amazing.

Tennessee has THE best chicken and waffles. Mostly because it’s not just chicken and waffles... it’s HOT chicken and waffles with maple syrup. It’s what dreams are made of.

I seasoned the breading with a lot of cayenne pepper and dripped some spicy hot sauce on them. Maple syrup or gtfo. I know I can’t hang with Southern fried chicken though.
